1991 Spirit Path / Migration / Remains, January 12 and 13
“The spirit of place” – the Anasazi

Spirit Path / Migration / Remains explores the notion of “place” – inhabitants come to know the earth and all things therein that allow for life and survival, joy and pain…..a constant, sometimes repetitive venture to survive and thrive.  Withers created several works reflecting six/seven years of revisiting the lands of her birth in Utah and and Four Corners region (New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado).
