(1991) January 12 and 13:  Still Rush (New York City dancers premiere), Dance Construction Company Concert, Dance Place, Washington. DC.

(1992)  February 7 and 8:  Still Rush, Dance Construction Company Dance for the Earth  Concert, Arlington Community Center Theater, Arlington, Virginia.

(1992) May 12:  Still Rush (including 5 Brazilian dancers.  Dance Construction Company evening-length concert, Omame Projeto Opening Gala, National Theater, Brasilia, Brazil – international conference related to the United Nation’s Earth Summit (Eco ’92), June 3 to 14, 1992 in Rio de Janeiro.

Still Rush – migration of people by choice or, often, by force.  Withers pioneer ancestors departed from Missouri, Illinois, and other locations, and traveled by handcart, wagon, often on foot, to what later became known as the Salt Lake Valley.  This is one of the great “migrations” for religious freedom and the prospect of a better life.  Utah became known as the State of Utah January 4, 1896.
