Wendell Tyler Cooper (NYC) is a Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary artist who explores the power of presence and the nature of identity through performance. He is faculty of the Original Medicine Institute for the Healing Arts, adjunct faculty at Hunter College, and is currently Director of Educational Programming for Pentacle (NYC). A George Washington University graduate, Cooper has been in residence at the Northeast Normal University in Changchun, China; Dance Theater Workshop, NYC; Wesleyan, CT; and the GoDown Arts Center in Nairobi, Kenya. Cooper has worked with several dance companies -including the Erick Hawkins and Nicholas Leichter Dance- yet currently conducts teaching and performance initiatives through www.wendellcooper.com.
