Select George Washington University dance students partipated in an early version of Utah * Spirit Place * Spirit Planet * Tukuhnikivatz in Washington, DC. Melissa also danced in Stone Ring, a work created fwith Maida Withers for performance by GW dancers in building J studio/theatre – an experimental performance that featured an exotic visiting vocalist, Marilia. This event made connection with the tour Maida and Marilia were taking to Tokyo.
