Jeffrey Strum
Jeffrey Strum, dancer with Dance Construction Company, was born in New York City. He attended George Washington University where he met Maida Withers. He received the first graduate degree in Performing Arts issued by the American University. Upon graduation, he moved back to New York where he pursued his career with such companies as Dancescapes, Wendy Osserman Dance Company, Julie Maloney Dance Co, Mimi Garrard Dance Company and others. While living in New York he spent three years on the faculty of Westchester Community College. He lived in Washington, DC for many years where he danced and ran his own business. Jeff was a dedicated artist who loved dance. Jeffrey passed away in 2014.
