Frank Williams (visual artist), born 1947, St. Louis, Missouri, USA, has been living in Russia since 1993. Williams’ comprehensive body of work includes sculptures, flat-works, furniture, photography, digital, and public art works. Williams has collaborated with numerous performance artists to further the strong message of each work and with the strategy of making art that spans cultures with universal truths pertinent to mankind’s understanding of itself. Solo exhibits of Williams include exhibits at the Russian State Museum in St. Petersburg, Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans, LA. The American Center, Moscow, The Museum of History and Art, Yegorevsk, The Museum of Fine Art, Yaroslavl, Exit Art Gallery, Cologne, Germany, International Gallery of Contemporary Art, Anchorage, Alaska, ARC Gallery, Chicago, Gallery Manege, Moscow, The Museums of Fine Art in Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Tomsk, Tver, Yaroslavl, Ivanovo,Yekaterinburg, and Black Dog Gallery, Moscow, Russia; among others. Group shows include Haifa, Israel, Havana, Cuba, Houston, Texas, Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod, and Yekaterinburg, Russia, Cologne, Germany, Mexico City, Mexico, Honolulu, Hawaii, Seattle, and San Francisco among others. Williams lectures in symposia throughout Russia, including St. Petersburg, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, as well as internationally in Cuba, Germany, and numerous cities in the United States.
