On March 11, 2025, Ukraine Contemporary Dance Platform invites you to an online meeting with choreographer, performer, and activist Maida Withers (USA)*. This event will be dedicated to the artist’s site-specific works and the site-specific genre as a whole.
The goal of the lecture is to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the site-specific performance genre, its meaning, and the role of dance and choreography in site-specific works.
During the lecture, Maida will introduce participants to her works, philosophy, and the ideas that have guided her as an artist throughout her long creative career.
The event will take place on the Zoom platform. You need to register to participate in the lecture. A link will be provided on March 10, 2025. The meeting will be held in English, with the final part dedicated to participant interaction and discussion.
