Anastasia Oleynik
Thresholds Crossed: Dancer
Anastasia Oleynik (dancer) began studying choreography with Nikolai Ogrizhkov in 1995 and graduated from his modern dance school in 2000 in correlation with studies at a theater school. In 2000 she began dancing with the performance group “Moscow Kapriz.” She has danced in productions touring Japan, Brazil and the Netherlands. In 2005 Anastasia began teaching dance in the House of Culture “Commonwealth”. She has pursued her dance education by participating in major dance festivals including the International Festival of Contemporary Dance (Vitebsk), Moscow Modern Dance Festival, the 18th Festival of Contemporary Dance (Brazil), the American Dance Festival (Moscow), European Festival of Contemporary Choreography (Russia); and TSEH Festivals (Russia). She has studied with Dominique Buyaven (France), Ulla Gaiges (Germany), Michael Tracy (Pilobolus Dance Company) and Barbara Haley (USA), Sibrig Doctor (Switzerland), Ester Hall (Hungary), Allen Good (USA), and Anna Braslavskaya (Russia), among others
