Stephanie Simmons first performance in Lisner Auditorium was as a rat in the “Nutcracker” with the National Ballet Company. A graduate of the National School of Ballet, she went on to perform at Radio City Music Hall and with Eliot Feld’s first company, American Ballet Company, Twyla Tharp and Dancers and Tanz-Forum in Cologne, West Germany. She has an M.A. in Arts Management from American University. An instructor and company member of Glen Echo Dance Theater since 1981. She is also co-director of Kinetics Dance Theater in Ellicott City.
