Øystein Sevåg’s characteristics as a composer stem from an extremely versatile background. His study and work within classical, jazz, electronic and folk music from many cultures has matured into his unmistakable style both as a musician and as a composer. Since 1987 he has composed and released a series of solo albums, which are distributed worldwide, and has established a position as an artist of international renown in his genre. His latest solo album “Bridge” included the Philharmonia Orchestra, (London), The Global House Band and soloists. The album won the “Indie Award” for the best New Age recording of the year in the USA.
