Melissa Doumitt
Melissa Doumitt, an undergraduate dance student at GWU from Georgia, has studied dance for fifteen years including ballet, jazz, modern and various forms of ethnic dance. Melissa, a performing arts scholar at GWU, has performed several times in the past two years in Washington, DC including her most recent performance with Core Movement in Threshold: The Waiting Room.
Select George Washington University dance students participated in an early version of Dance Construction Company’s Utah * Spirit Place * Spirit Planet * Tukuhnikivatz project in Washington, DC. Melissa also danced in The Stone Ring, a work created with Maida Withers for performance by GW dancers and guest artists Marilia, extreme vocalist (USA/Brazil/Japan), and Stephan Lockwood, keyboard (USA) in Building J Dance Studio Theatre.
