Innovative, artist-driven organization in Russia established in 2000 to develop and promote contemporary experimental dance in Russia. TsEKh, in 2005, sponsored a three-week residence of Maida Withers Dance Construction Company to hold a national audition to select Russian dancers and then support rehearsals for three weeks to create Part I of Threshold Crossed and, also, present a work-in-progress performance to the general public in Moscow.  Elena Tupyseva , Director of TsEKh, was instrumental in making this project possible.

Thresholds Crossed premiere April 21, 2006 in Lisner Auditorium, Washington, DC included all the dancers involved in the TsEKh residency.  Thresholds Crossed premiered at the Moon (Luna) Theatre in Moscow, April 26, 2007 and toured to perform at the Isadora International Dance Festival, April 30, 2007, in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
