Faces of the Fallen (World War II Memorial)

Original Performance on November 27, 2004

2004 – World War II Memorial Site event created by Maida Withers with six  female dancers from The George Washington University Department of Theatre and Dance, Washington, DC.  The Capital City has rich resources, monuments, statues, gardens, islands of  political significance, other, that are available for respectful engagement of performances with and without permits.  The City is rich in this way for “site specific” performances by and with undergraduate and graduate student dancers at the George Washington University. Politics is always a topic of interest in the students attending a university in the capital city. A “script” was developed for the performance.
