1991 – International artists assembled for an International Celebration Conference (ICC)in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Works were presented and new works created by conference participants. Marilyn Wood was an active artist in New York City with other developing the concepts of Celebration in the arts. Many artists in New York and other locations were exploring how to engage with audiences and bring audiences into participation through the celebration concept. Maida Withers and Verabel Cluff created a site work built in an arroya with others in Santa Fe New Mexico for the ICC, Sunday, April 21, 1991.
Marilyn Wood was instrumental in organizing USA artists to participate in celebration activities for the United Nation’s Earth Summit in Brazil in 1992.
